August: Acknowlege Gratefulness

Keep a Gratitude Notebook
Put aside a few minutes each day to acknowledge what you are grateful for that day. It can be a one sentance summary or a paragraph or two. Perhaps you just want to meditate on it and not write anything . That’s fine too!

Look for Guidance from a Role Model
Read a biography or watch a movie about someone you admire. Then think of some ways you can emmulate them in your life.

November is about being considerate, thoughtful and polite. Being a buzzkill sucks out the positivity in a room. So instead of pointing out negative consequences, keep those to yourself. They contribute to a combative tone which is the opposite of what we are trying to achieve.

How do you live in the present? Try taking an improv class. You have to listen carefully to what is being said so you can add on. “Yes and” is the proper response to anything. Additional ways to be mindful are suggested in this blog.
